Description		동박새 Zosterops japonica (Japanese White-eye) 동박새 Zosterops japonica 동박새과에 딸린 새. 모양은 참새와 비슷하며 날개 길이 5~7cm, 꽁지 3~5cm쯤이다. 몸빛은 등쪽이 황록색, 배쪽은 회백색, 턱과 꼬리는 레몬 빛이다. 눈의 가장자리에 은백색의 고리무늬가 있다. 나무 열매, 씨, 곤충 따위를 먹고 4~6월에 알을 낳는다. 아시아 동부와 남부에 널리 분포하며 우리 나라에는 울릉도, 제주도에 많다. 출처: 동물형태도감 (계몽사, 1993년)
