◈ 파리는 깨끗하다? 앞발을 비비는 파리의 모습은 너무나 익숙해서 파리를 흉내낼 땐 누구나 두 손을 비빈다. 그 모습이 마치 동정심이라도 유발하려는 것으로 보이기도 하지만 파리가 앞발을 비비는 진짜 이유는 앞발에 있는 ‘빨판’ 때문이다. 파리의 빨판은 다른 물건에 달라붙거나 먹이를 빨아 먹는 데 쓰이는데 빨판에 먼지가 끼고 습기가 없어지면 천장이나 유리 같은 미끄러운 곳에 앉기 힘들기 때문에 항상 청소를 하는 것이다. 또 파리는 다리 앞부분에 미각이 발달돼 있기 때문에 다리를 청결히 하지 않으면 맛을 정확히 알 수 없다.
