나무로 깎아 만든 도마뱀처럼 보인다. 네덜란드 위트레흐트에 거주하는 아마추어 사진작가는 위 사진의 주인공이 실제 동물이라고 설명한다. 이 신기한 ‘주름진 이파리 꼬리 도마뱀붙이’(국명: 줄무늬이파리꼬리도마뱀붙이, 영명: Lined Leaf-tailed Gecko, Lined Leaf-Tail Gecko, 학명: Uroplatus lineatus가 촬영된 장소는 마다가스카르의 대나무 숲. 도마뱀은 주변 환경 속으로 녹아들어갔다고 해도 좋을 정도로 완벽한 ‘변신술’을 보였다. 자연의 신비를 다시금 실감하게 만드는 사진이라는 평가다.
