Distribution: Asia: Pakistan to Thailand (Ref. 4833) and Indonesia (Ref. 7050).
Diet: Live feeders, will accept dead meat eventually
Temperament: aggressive. Be very careful, this fish can eat other fish bigger than its body size. has the ability to open mouth extremely wide and swallow fish you wouldnt think capable. keep only with large fish
Breeding: Males have black edging on fins. They lay eggs on the underside of leaves
Other Comments: a very jumpy fish. startles at the slightest provocation so make sure you have a secure hood. top-dwelling so you might be able to get away with some peaceful fish at the bottom.
