The bushveld emperor or bush charaxes (Charaxes achaemenes) is a butterfly of the family Nymphalidae found across Africa.

The two-tailed pasha or foxy emperor (Charaxes jasius) is a butterfly in the family Nymphalidae. It is the only European species of the genus Charaxes. Charaxes jasius occurs in the Mediterranean region and Africa.

The blue-spangled emperor, Guderian's charaxes or blue-spangled charaxes (Charaxes guderiana) is a butterfly of the family Nymphalidae. It is found in southern Africa.

The satyr emperor or satyr charaxes (Charaxes ethalion) is a butterfly of the family Nymphalidae. It is found in southern Africa.
