The crescent-chested babbler (Stachyris melanothorax) is a species of bird in the Timaliidae family. It is native to the Indonesian islands of Java and Bali. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. Order: Passeriformes, Family: Timaliidae, Genus: Stachyris, Species: Stachyris melanothorax (Temminck, 1823).
