Saving the Dormice

As part of the BBC Saving Planet Earth series conservationists are helping to save dormouse in kent. Cheryl Baker goes along to find out more.

Presenter Cheryl Baker visits Larkey Valley Wood in Kent to find out more about the hazel dormouse. The project is part of a nationwide Natural England dormouse Species Recovery Programme.

Conservationists are helping the hazel dormouse in Kent by placing special breeding boxes around the wood. They are successfully breeding them in captivity and releasing them into the wild.
