방언
압록돌붙이, 곱소리, 댕이, 돌망맹이, 돌모래무지, 땡고기, 하늘고기, 해방고기

특징
몸은 약간 길고 위아래로 납작하며 머리와 배는 편평하다. 주둥이는 짧고 입은 말굽 모양이다. 등지느러미와 꼬리지느러미에는 작고 검은 점들이 규칙적으로 서너 줄 이어져 있어 무늬를 이룬다. 산란기의 수컷은 가슴지느러미와 몸 전체가 검은색을 띤다.

분포
우리 나라 고유종으로, 서해와 남해로 흐르는 하천
