Here's a picture I took of a seagull on 6/20/98 during the return trip from
scuba diving Anacapa Island off the coast of Southern California. I think the
little guy thought we were a fishing boat and was waiting for us to start
cleaning our catch. He was keeping perfect pace with us just a few feet above
our heads and I was able to get this full frame shot of him with just a
realitavly short 135mm lens.

I'm a photojournalist and have a site with a small bit of my work up at Feel free to email me if you want to
talk photography or comment on my work.

Keep in mind that all works, photographs or otherwise, are automatically
copyrighted at creation and the artist in no way gives up that right by
publishing said work on the Internet or anywhere else. In other words this
picture is only for personal viewing and enjoyment. Use it as desktop
wallpaper if you want, but don't go selling, redistributing or trying to
otherwise profit from it. Thanks.

What species of gull is this? There are over 20 varieties of gulls,
but not one called a "seagull". This is a name that people have come up with.
