The red-tailed Hawk known as 'Pale Male' perches on a the side of number 920 5th Avenue in New York City, December 16, 2004. Pale Male is one of of two red-tailed hawks whose nest was removed by an Upper East Side co-op board at number 927 5th Avenue earlier this month. The building has since decided to allow the now famous pair of hawks to rebuild their nest if the choose to after it makes modifications to the ledge above a window where the nest was located.
