The dark blue pansy (Junonia oenone) is an African nymphalid butterfly that likes open areas and forests.

The dark blue pansy is small with rounded wings. Its wings are black with white markings and blue spots. Its hindwings have a blue spot. The underside of the wings is brown with white markings. It has two white antennae.

Its wingspan is 4-5 centimetres (1.5-2 inches) across.

When it lands on the ground, the dark blue pansy looks like the pansy flower.
