Przewalski's horse, also called Mongolian wild horse, only surviving species of original wild horse. Once common on Eurasian plains, it is now found only in Mongolia and Sinkiang. It is small and stocky with an erect black mane and no forelock. Its red-brown coat is marked with a darker line on the back and shoulders and leg stripes. Height: to 1.5m at the shoulder. Family Equidae; species Equus przewalskii.
