AN injured bird is learning to walk again ??? with its leg in plaster.

Peewit the Lapwing was found at the side of a road with a compound fracture to his right knee.

He was treated at St Tiggywinkles wildlife hospital in Bournemouth, Dorset. Boss Les Stocker said Peewit is doing much better after a course of antibiotics and painkillers.

He added: “He’s walking again, albeit a bit clumsily. He’s making good progress and should be absolutely fine.”
