Melon-headed whales are stranded in Hanalei Bay off the Hawaiian island of Kauai seen July 2, 2004. Government scientists, in a report on Thursday, April 27, 2006, said the Navy's use of sonar during nearby maritime exercises may have contributed to the mass stranding of more than 150 whales.
