Description
Marsh Wren

Marsh wrens, like most songbirds, define their nesting territories by singing.
Anyone who has ever heard a marsh wren sing knows it is an incredibly complex
and rapid series of notes. How rapid? This photo was taken at 1/250th second.
Since it shows at least 1 full cycle, the photo indicates the bird was flapping
it's bill at least 250 times/second!
