Another rescan/repost plus old version for comparison - Axis deer (Axis axis) in Hagenbeck Zoo Hi everybody,
I have just scanned another strip of negatives taken in Hagenbeck Zoo,
Hamburg (Germany), in May 1999. The picture attached has been posted
previously as a flatbed scan, so I thought I'd include both versions for
comparison (new version comes first). I have another picture of this
pretty creature to follow, and two gorgeous brown bears later, so stay
tuned for more.
Greetings from Germany -
Ralf

The chital or cheetal or spotted deer or axis deer (Axis axis) is a deer found in the Indian subcontinent. Axis deer is sexually dimorphic: males are larger than females, and antlers are present only on males. The upper parts are golden to rufous, completely covered in white spots.
