딱새과에 딸린 나그네새. 날개 길이 7.5cm쯤이며 몸의 등쪽은 진한 청색이고 머리 위는 하늘색, 배쪽은 흰색을 띤다. 높은 산의 무성한 산림 속에서 서식하는데 동부 시베리아, 우리나라에서 번식하고, 몽고, 중국을 거쳐 중국 남부, 미얀마 등지에서 겨울을 난다.

The Siberian blue robin (Larvivora cyane) is a small passerine bird that was formerly classified as a member of the thrush family, Turdidae, but is now more generally considered to belong to the Old World flycatcher family, Muscicapidae. It and similar small European species are often called chats. The Siberian blue robin is a migratory insectivorous species breeding in the eastern Palearctic from Siberia and northern Mongolia, northeastern China, Korea and across to Japan.
