담비 Martes melanpus coreensis 족제비과에 딸린 동물. 몸길이는 40~50cm, 꼬리는 20cm쯤이며 네 다리가 짧다. 주둥이가 길고 귀는 짧고 넓으며 발가락에는 날카로운 발톱이 있다. 몸빛은 황갈색이며 발은 까만데 겨울에는 몸빛이 연한 색으로 변한다. 우리나라 중남부, 일본 등지에 분포한다. 출처: 동물형태도감 (계몽사, 1993년) (제목에 있는 '산달'이 보다 정확한 명칭입니다. 일본 산달은 한국산달과는 다른 아종으로 정확한 명칭은 Martes melampus melampus입니다.) | |
