Juvenile Angelfish, most likely
French Angelfish (Pomacanthus paru)
but could also be
Grey Angelfish (Pomacanthus arcuatus)
depending on how you judge the
bands on the tail .

The fish pictured is NOT a French angel. A young french angel has a
complete yellow ring around the tail. What this picture shows is a gray
angelfish. They both look very similar when young. They differ greatly
as adults. Same body shape and size, different color pattern. If you
purchased this fish in an aquarium shop as a french angel, you would be
very disappointed when the juvenile color change began. Instead of the
brilliant colors of the adult french angel, you would notice the bland
battleship gray of the gray angel. Better luck next time!!
