1322 is a sausage tree.
The fruits are hard like gourds, but they look like sausages.
"Jambo" in Swahilli is "Sopa" in Masai. (="Welcome" in english, of course)
1327 - Masai Mara means "the spotted land where the Masai live"
1333 - I don't know why this is in there. Sorry. :-)
1334 - This is a secretary bird. It also shows the grass after the growing
season and before the gnus and zebras get to it. (After they get to it,
it's a pretty uniform half-inch high.)
1347 is a Topi, the kind of antelope distinguished by the dark thigh patches
1351, 1352 - There's actually lions hiding in the shade of that bush.
1357 - This migration line went from horizon to horizon.
Kenya and Tanzania, Summer 2000.
Stills from digital video camera.
640x480 JPEG, mostly unretouched.
Missing numbers are due to chopping
out non-animal pictures (such as
scenery, plant life, etc.)
Released to the Public Domain,
but I would appriciate hearing about
commercial use of the photos.
