1264 is a deer print, while 1265 is probably a rhino print.
1266 is a leopard, altho leopards are generally hard to see.
1280 etc is monkeys fishing for rainwater in holes in the rocks.
1285 is white rhinos, mom and baby.
White rhinos graze (eat grass) while black rhinos browse (eat leaves).
This leads to a difference in the shape of their mouths.
"White" is Dutch for "Wide", so this is wide-mouth rhino.
1293 is Lake Manyara, as seen in Out Of Africa from the airplane.
1295 - Ever wonder what unprocessed Ebony looks like?
1314 et al are hyenas for whom the local lodge put the leftovers out.
1319 is a lizard about 3 inches long. I have no idea what it was,
but it glows in the dark just like that.
Kenya and Tanzania, Summer 2000.
Stills from digital video camera.
640x480 JPEG, mostly unretouched.
Missing numbers are due to chopping
out non-animal pictures (such as
scenery, plant life, etc.)
Released to the Public Domain,
but I would appriciate hearing about
commercial use of the photos.
