This animal is not a golden possum at all. It is a Bennett's Tree Kangaroo.
page 266 of a book put out by the Australian Museum called Complete book of
Australian mammals edited by Ronald Strahan.
Sorry to have to tell you that you are wrong. As soon as I saw the picture
I recognizewd that it was not a possum, that striped thing hanging down
'under is its tail. This tail is much to long for a possum's tail,
I will see if I can find a picture of a tree kangaroo somewhere else of
the www and if you send me your email address if I can find a copy of it
I will send it to you. Or else get a copy of this photo I have in this
book scanned and send it to you
