Eunicella cavolini, the yellow gorgonian, is a common, fan-shaped soft coral in the Mediterranean, forming yellow-orange, branching colonies up to 50cm tall with smooth branches and small white/yellow polyps, distinguishing itself from similar species by its distinct colour and polyp arrangement, often found in dense "underwater forests" on hard Mediterranean substrates.
