The guaiabero is a small, stout, lovebird-sized parrot that is green overall with sexual dimorphism. Males have a blue face and collar, while females have a yellow collar and less blue on the face, with a scaled rump and black crescent markings. It has a large, thick, bluish-grey bill and is found in forested areas of the lowlands and foothills of the Philippines.
