The Atlantic mackerel (Scomber scombrus) is a pelagic schooling species of mackerel found in the Mediterranean Sea, the Black Sea, and the north Atlantic Ocean. Scomber scombrus is also known as Boston mackerel, Norwegian mackerel, Scottish mackerel or just mackerel.
