Bengal tiger (Panthera tigris tigris) After eating something on the shoreline of the mangroves, this Royal Bengal Tiger walked down the island for almost 45 minutes, through the soft mud and vanishing in and out of the trees. This is an image of the Biosphere Reserve: Sundarbans National Park

The Bengal tiger (Panthera tigris tigris) is the most numerous tiger subspecies. Bengal tigers are found primarily in India with smaller populations in Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, China and Myanmar.
