Blackbirds are common in parks and gardens, where they nest in shrubbery and stalk across the grass, stopping from time to time to pull an earthworm from the soil. Fond of fruit, they will raid strawberry and blackberry bushes, and often feed on ripe fallen fruit in the autumn.
