The bowhead whale (Balaena mysticetus) is a species of the family Balaenidae, in suborder Mysticeti, and genus Balaena, once thought to include the right whale. The bowhead whale was also known as the Greenland right whale or Arctic whale. American whalemen called them the steeple-top, polar whale, or Russia or Russian whale. The bowhead has the largest mouth of any animal.
The giant armadillo (Priodontes maximus), colloquially tatou, ocarro, tatu-canastra or tatĂș carreta, is the largest living species of armadillo (although their extinct relatives, the glyptodonts, were much larger). It lives in South America, ranging throughout as far south as northern Argentina.
The spectral bat (Vampyrum spectrum), also known as the false vampire bat, Linnaeus's false vampire bat or the spectral vampire bat, is a bat species of the family Phyllostomidae. Spectral bats are found in southern Mexico to Peru and Ecuador to central and northern Brazil, Suriname, Guyana, and the island of Trinidad.
