The glossy ibis (Plegadis falcinellus) is a wading bird in the ibis family Threskiornithidae. Plegadis falcinellus is the most widespread ibis species, breeding in scattered sites in warm regions of Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and the Atlantic and Caribbean regions of the Americas.
