Coris is a genus of wrasses, collectively known as the rainbow wrasses, found in the Atlantic, Indian, and Pacific Oceans. The elegant coris, Coris venusta, is a species of fish of the family Labridae in the order of the Perciformes. Males can reach 19.3 cm in total length. They are found in the Hawaiian Islands.
