Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. Order: Accipitriformes, Family: Accipitridae, Genus: Harpagus, Species: Harpagus diodon (Temminck, 1823).
