Scree weta, Deinacrida connectens, is a species of giant weta in family Anostostomatidae. It is endemic to New Zealand and is typically found in the mountainous regions of the South Island. Order: Orthoptera, Family: Anostostomatidae, Genus: Deinacrida, Species: Deinacrida connectens (Ander, 1939).
