The slender-necked sea snake (Hydrophis melanocephalus) is a species of venomous sea snake in the family Elapidae. It is found in South China Sea, Japan, Coasts of Taiwan and Guangdong northward to Zhejiang (China), Australia and New Guinea. Order: Squamata, Suborder: Serpentes, Family: Elapidae, Subfamily: Hydrophiinae, Genus: Hydrophis, Species: Hydrophis melanocephalus (Gray, 1849).
