The chestnut-capped puffbird (Bucco macrodactylus) is a species of bird in the family Bucconidae, the puffbirds. Bucco macrodactylus is found in northwestern South America in the western Amazon Basin of Brazil, in Amazonian Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, northern Bolivia, and in the eastern Orinoco River Basin of Venezuela. Its natural habitats are subtropical and tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical swamps. Order: Piciformes, Family: Bucconidae, Species: Bucco macrodactylus (Spix, 1824), Synonyms: Cyphos macrodactylus.
