The Malabar grouper or greasy grouper, Epinephelus malabaricus, is a species of marine fish in the family Serranidae. The Malabar grouper is widespread throughout the tropical waters of the Indo-West Pacific area from the eastern coast of Africa to the Tonga Islands, Red Sea included.
