Hagenbeck Zoo tigers rescan/repost - and a word of warning about the film used Hi everybody,
here is one of the very first tiger pics I posted here, in a new
negative scan version. The original pic was scanned from a poor paper
print, so please do replace it if you saved it on your HD.
BTW, this picture was taken with an Agfa HDC 200 color negative film.
Should you ever run across that brand of film, I strongly recommend you
avoid that one. The color deviations produced by this film, especially
in high contrast situations, are *huge* which applies to making prints
of the negatives as well as to scanning them. The pictures need
comprehensive post-scan processing to be about what the original looked
like, and still are a bit away from what could be done with a more
"neutral" type of film.
