Slaty Finch (
Haplospiza rustica) is a species of bird in the
Emberizidae family. It is found in Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guyana, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forests and heavily degraded former forest.
