Chrysochroa fulgidissima or tamamushi in Japanese (Japanese kanji: 玉???、吉丁???: katakana:タマムシ) - known as 비단벌레 meaning "jewel beetle" in Korean - is a metallic wood-boring beetle of the family Buprestidae that is native to Japan. The Tamamushi-no-zushi, 玉??????子, (Tamamushi shrine), a miniature shrine located at H??ry??-ji Temple, was once decorated with the colorful wings of the Chrysochroa fulgidissima beetle.
