Moustached Tamarin,
Saguinus mystax also known as Spix's
Moustached Tamarin is a black
tamarin with white nose, brownish back and white moustache.
The
Moustached Tamarin is distributed in tropical forests of Brazil and Peru. Its diet consists mainly of fruits, tree gum and insects.
There are two subspecies of the
Moustached Tamarin:
Spix's
Moustached Tamarin,
Saguinus mysyax mystax
White-rumped
Moustached Tamarin,
Saguinus mystax pluto
