| Description | Kildeer protecting nest
This Kildeer had it's nest in our yard in Michigan. I went to take photo's of it and it played the broken wing act that these birds are known for to distract predators. It ran from the nest so I would follow it and then started fluttering it's wing and playing injured. I had to explain to my Grandson that the bird was not hurt but was trying to get us away from it's nest. | |
