Here is our beloved friend, Casper. Casper was 13 years old when he passed away suddenly Monday afternoon October 2, 2006. We suspect that he accidentally ingested some chrysanthemum pedals which can be fatal to cats.
Casper was a very playful fellow and was as muscular as a pit bull dog. He could race up and down the stairs skipping three at a time. He leaves behind his close buddy and sparring mate Noodles. Casper and Noodles were inseparable and hung together constantly. Also missing him are his companions Cathy, Paul and his original caretaker, Michelle.
In Casper's memory, we are advising all cat owners to be aware of the hazards of cats eating houseplants and flowers. Casper was de clawed on his fronts but, could still pounce up onto a 36" kitchen counter top and under the cover of night, nibble away at the seemingly harmless chrysanthemums. He showed no signs of illness except for upchucking some of the pedals but, he apparently still had some in his system.
We know Casper is up in kitty heaven rolling around in some catnip patch content knowing he lived a happy life. He's probably saying "Wow.. you won't believe what the humans have up here"! |
