I also had this happen to me...a swallow flew down and hit my car. He died, and I took him off the road, but the whole family kept trying to help him. So sad!
I am privileged to host barn swallows each year in my old barn. Swallows are such friendly little birds and have very close family ties...each brood helping the parents raise the next. They also like to play a game of finding a feather, swooping down and plucking it off the ground, taking it high in the air and dropping it, and catching it before it hits the ground. Amazing birds! |
