African Somali wild ass foal Djara (L), born on Jan. 28, 2006, and her mother are sniffling food at their enclosure in the Basel Zoo on Wednesday, 08 February 2006. According to the zoo, the Somali Wild ass (Equus africanus somalicus) are regarded a rare species on earth with only an estimate 150 to 300 animals living in the wilderness.
