Red Eft. This is the terrestrial phase of the aquatic
Red-Spotted Newt, which is greenish & has a fin-like tail.
Red Eft walks around boldly - probably poisonous, as its
bright "warning coloration" suggests.
Notophthalmus viridescens. E USA

This is a mud salamander, Psuedotriton ruber.
It is a mimic of the eft stage of the newt.
