This photo was taken at the Auckland Zoo on February 27, 2000 with a
Nikon F-601. (My scanner stinks, so massive fixing is done on all pics!
Serves me right for getting a cheap scanner ) Whether they're an
official part of the zoo or not, I'm still unable to determine. When I
visited the Auckland zoo over a decade ago there were a pair of swans
who were obviously not part of the exhibits at all, swimming in the
river which ran through the whole zoo, ocassionally being found in
another area when they wanted to steal a free feed from one or another
of the exhibits (Usually where the ducks were) Instead of the two I saw
years ago, this time there were two adults and one mainly-grown cygnet.
