Hannover Zoo - Time for another prairie dog - future posts in 1024x768, if possible Hi,
seems if I haven't contributed to the "various" section of my web page
(see link below) for a while. So here's another inhabitant of Hannover
Zoo, taken in light that is awfully hard to get a decent paper print of
because the photo labs tend to sink the highlights into plain white
or/and the shadows into all black. Negative scanning, however, enables
one to recover some of the detail stored in the negative, just as shown
here.
BTW, because more and more people are using 1024x768 resolution, I have
decided to post all the pictures that have about a 4:3 width/height
ratio in that size. All other shots, as usual, will be posted in about
1.7 MB of uncompressed size. If you are looking for animal wallpaper, it
should be easier for you to find some among the pics I post here. I case
you want any of my pics in a size different from what I dump here,
please do not hesitate to ask - I shall be pleased to make custom size
versions if requested.
