Haven't posted hoofstock for a while - Nyala antelope male - these are mean to scan! Hi again,
here's a charming guy that I love to take pictures of which I hate to
scan later :-) The reflection of their coat is so weak that it takes
excellent light to get a picture which doesn't sink the contrasts of the
animal into all black. This one had pretty good light to it, and yet I
had to apply some (virtual) violence to squeeze the shadow contrasts out
of the negative. If you do not believe me, just go to the zoo and try to
take a photo of these (and if you're masochist, have paper prints made
of them :-)) - in case you do not find Nyalas in your nearest zoo, just
take a black panther instead, these work just as fine
This one taken in Wilhelma Zoo, Stuttgart (Germany), May 2000.
So long -
Ralf
