         - can anyone identify?

Hi everybody,

During my 1998 California holiday, I shot this bird when
going for a one-day trip to Mexico at the Beach of Rosarito.
I guess it is some kind of sandpiper - anyone who can give
a more precise identification?

Thanks in advance -

Ralf

Looks to me like a Long-billed Curlew.
I saw many at Puerto Penasco over Thanksgiving weekend
last year.

Curlews are sandpipers, BTW.
